Rolling logs to form a bridge over the peripheral canal and making access easier the team also clear the canal and dig it deeper and wider to ensure an even flow of water. Later the Ladies of Makelekos return to puddle the paddies by toe and by hoe before transplanting nerica buttercup seedlings from their nursing beds.
