REST IN PERFECT PEACE AUNTY ROSE

What seemed like the whole of Freetown came to mourn the passing of Aunty Rose Tiafoe, Thursday, resting perfectly in peace at the grand old age of 88. Please join them in service and song celebrating this amazing womans life.

An educator for more than 60 years, Aunty Rose was teacher and principal at schools from Godrich to Hastings and teaching supervisor for the Ministry of Education for 13 years, before setting up her own school in 1996 and as Principal of Cole Farm Education Centre, directly touching the hearts and minds of generations of students.

Destiny and Ollie accompany Uncle Williams representing Mama Mayila and all the children, as the magnificent service at King Memorial United Methodist Church today was literally packed to the rafters as friends, former students and Cole Farm community join Aunty Rose's family, who flew in from across the world, to celebrate this most remarkable Ladys’ most remarkable life, paying their respects for one last time before Aunty Rose is laid to rest in Ascension Town with a most moving, humbling garveside ceremony.

Longtime friends with Mama Mayila, my brother and I grew up with the Tiafoe brothers, Francis and Joseph and keenly feel the loss of our other Mum. We’re proud that in her later years, Aunty Rose found time to serve as Secretary on the Board of Hope, helping guide and steer us true.
