PARBOILING AND MILLING A BUMPER HARVEST


After the threshing and drying of Hope Sakuma's upland rice harvest it's time to start parboiling to boost nutrition, helping the rice swell when cooked again.

Then the parboiled rice is spread on the cleaned tarpaulin to dry once more before taking to team Makelekos by bike to mill, helping support their FBO as well as our own.
