CHRISTMAS IN THE CRADLE

A slap up Christmas feast of chicken and fizzy pop is enjoyed by all before all the kids Christmas wishes come true with a table groaning under the weight of gifts and a parcel of presents for each and every one!

The Hope Kids hard work through the year pays off as their Christmas wishlists are met in full with shoes and sneakers, dresses and tops, trousers and jeans, perfumes and deodorants, each to their own and all wrapped up to be opened by excited kids.

All thanks to Sid, Aunties Val, Marion, Josephine and Myrto and uncles Leslie, Godfrey, Cor and Mo. At around $30 per child it's not overly expensive to give kids the treats western families take for granted but in Sierra Leone it's rare to enjoy such bounty and for seven newcommers it's the first time they've made a wishlist for Santa. Especial thanks to uncles Williams and Hassan and Aunty Isata for giving up their Christmases so the kids could enjoy theirs.
