Makelekos All-Stars chief, Mr Mohamed Lamin, shows some of the Makelekos Ladies how to puddle, plant and penumbra with palm in precision produce plots.
Puddling to add some of our special formula bo-fertilzer and retain water, planting with care and providing shade with palm fronds to protect the seedlings. A very nice job sees all those precision beds look just as precise before and after planting!
Training women now gives Hope Sakuma more hands on deck for our farmer field school teaching women from 14 villages how make beds just like this, nursing, planting and caring for okra, pepper, tomato, melon and cusmber, as well as how to use azolla as a mulch to reduce weeding time and retain moisture in the soil, as rainy season comes to an end.
