Join the Hope kids celebrating Children's Book Day in Sierra Leone, eager to deep dive into their favourite books

3: HOPE'S SWEETIE-SWEET RICE

The kids are having fun choosing a name for our new cookery and helping prepare some of the bounty from the countryside! The kids had some great names including Hope You Like Us, Hope You come Again and Mama Mayila's Sweeties-Sweet Rice a variation of which made it thru!

As well as helping us chose a name for our cookery Leo, Barney, Knox and Alex are really helping out for the cookery - here, they're taking turns pounding the cassava for the daily plasas, so it will preserve thru the week.
