We choose the day after our National remembrance for our doctors and nurses - Ebola's Heroes - who gave their lives to save others because it is also a a day to remember their children , now cruelly orphaned by Ebola. They too are some of Ebola’s 12,000 orphans - Ebola’s Generation.

Co-founder, Mama Mayila Yansaneh explained: "Salone owes Ebola’s Generation a debt. These children must not be abandoned or swept under the carpet, like the war children or the HIV children.

These blameless children have lost everything let them now have something – somewhere safe to live, guidance, health care and a good education.

Let them now be our children, Salone’s children and receive Salone’s protection, Salone's guidance and Salone's love."
