PADDIES INTO PEPPER BEDS

With plenty cassava heaps dug over six weeks the dedicated Hope Sakuma farmers turn their attention to the farms’ fallow rice paddies turning them over to dig traditional heaps for okra and pepper and planted by the Ladies looking forward to sending bounty to the kids at Mama Mayila's Cradle.

Utilizing the swamp and azolla-enriched rice paddies during dry season boosts land productivity, meaning the hard-working farmers get more produce through the year working the same land, land enriched in rainy season with silt from the inland valley swamp and azolla and tilapia from the rice gowing leaving more land wild and nore habitat for Sanda Magbolontors' wildlife.
