CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY IN SIERRA LEONE

Some Christmas do-goodery’s afoot as Uncle Williams and the Hope team visits Mahanaim House to make sure these resilient kids living with disabilities enjoy a fantastic festive time; their first Christmas without their grandma, Madam Melrose, who sadly passed away in the Fall.

Thanks to our partners, Heart for Humanity and Aunty Marekna, Joy and all the Mahanaim kids are excited to 15 loaves of their favourite yellow sweet bread and a giant tub of mayonnaise to go with, bags of big boss lollipops and a whole carton of chocolate biscuits, while Mademoiselle Melrose, who's taken up the reins from her dear departed Mom, is thankful for the 50 kilo of rice, bata of palm oil, onions, maggi, pepper, saba laundry soap, toothpaste and bathing soap.

Like all interim care centres and orphanages in Sierra Leone there’s no government support for food, clothing or day to day expenses so the 1,000 Nle donation from Heart for Humanity is truly appreciated. Mahanaim House is the only dedicated facility for children living with disabilities in the western urban and rural districts.
