Rising star student, Alex, receives special 'hero'award for achievement at Rising Academys’ annual end of term bash celebrating education. Ram-packed as always with pupils and parents, the day celebrates a fous on education and achievement of Sierra Leone Rising Network with teachers resplendent in coordinating outfits and awards for top-performing students.
Hopes' hard-working kids did well with Barney and Leo coming first and second in English and Barney topping that with a second best student overall. But the star of the show was Alex coming first in class for the fourth year running and receiving a special award for his performance in the BECE, with an aggregate of 8, first in the Rising network and first in the whole of the Sierra Leone Western Rural district - well done Alex! And Uncle Williams was also honoured to receive a plaque on behalf of Hope and an invitation to the top table!
