The kids from Moa Wharf say a HUGE thank you to Uncle Dan and Aunty Meghan and Team Canada - Aunty Cath and Uncle Nick, Aunty Anna and Uncle Sam, Aunty Konval, Uncle Ian & Aunty Adrienne and Uncle Jeyas! Because of your generousity these 20 children, orphaned by Ebola in our kinship fostering programme all receive new school kit with a bag, lunch box, water bottle and essential school supplies to see them thru the new school term. With the advent of free schooling help with these extras gives marginalized kids some of the things they need to do well in school.
At the weekend event Uncle Williams and Uncle Junior spent time collecting report cards to add to our base-line child info and found another seven children whose attendance we need to check with the schools to see if any additional help is needed keeping them in school.
