So, just how many cashew nut saplings can a bike transport before keeling over? As Farm Coordinator Andrew discovers about 50! And with that, our first tranche of 600 cashew saplings kindly donated from COOPI are on their way to Sanda Magbolonto Chiefdom and Hope Sakuma's sustainable farming co-op to be planted next to the cassava where they can be weeded and nursed together, helping the farm diversify into a nutritious drought-resistant crop to improve our farmers livelihoods and help them adapt to climate change. Our small contribution to the National Tree-planting campaign now underway in Sierra Leone.
