WELCOME TO THE BOLI LANDS!

Intrepid volunteer, Osman, goes in search of some Sanda Magbolonto boli lands, some of the richest, most fertile soil to produce rice. Having heard some land may be fallow and available for Hope Sakuma, Osman journeys by the river Bolleh and there's rumours of a tractor...

Now, we've been on the trail of a tractor since this time last year when our farmers suggested they'd be more productive but the three allocated to the Chiefdom were all out of commission and seem to be so still...

Osman meets volunteer Andrew who shows him just how big these boli lands are...

Andrew demonstrates just how big these beautiful Sanda Magbolonto chiefdom boli lands are - 300 acres big! That's Big. Really really big. But with the best will in the world not even the most enthusiastic bunch of farmers (and Hope Sakumas are tremendously enthusiastic) can manage this vast space by hand.

If only we could find a tractor....
