2,500 KG RICE: FEEDING VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN MOA WHARF

Thursday’s Feeding Programme event saw 51 bags of rice delivered to 51 orphans of deadly Ebola. These heavy 50 kilo sacks had to be carried down the steep steps leading to Moa Wharf, requiring many journeys from our star volunteers.

Before distibuting the 50 kilo bags of rice to each Ebola orphans and their care-givers Moa Wharf Chief Komeh kicked off proceedings, which saw Hope 4 Ebola Orphans National Coordinator Mr William Tieh speak out passionately pleading for support to help children of Ebola from Moa Wharf and all vulnerable children in Sierra Leone:

“I know each of you young children will grow up to be someone who contributes to society. You can be anything you want to be if you go to school and study hard. Our future is in your hands

We all join Mama Mayilla Yansaneh in praying to achieve the goals we have set – to reach and help the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children in Sierra Leone.”

The event was covered by African Young Voices (AYV) to be shown today.
