WEEK 8: DESTUMPING WITH A SMILE

Amabest strides purposefully forward leading our merry band of farmers back to farmer field school for more destumping, clearing Hope Sakuma's boli land, and space for maize and plantain. And the gentlemen are learning that destumping is back-breaking work on this land - unfarmed since the civil war where an old maskenki palm plantation grew.

As well as toiling to clear land for boli rice the boys are clearing land for some Bo plantain miracle maize.

From farm to table the Ladies are cooking up some rice and potato leaf straight from the farm ready to feed up the Manays and Makelekos gentlemen after a days work learning and practicing destumping.

The Manays and Makelekos crews take a well-earned rest from their back-breaking endeavours and enjoy their food, whle project corodinator Amabest sensitizes them about the benefits of working together as a team work.
