EN GARDE, ADVANCE, BALESTRA!

Fencing for a compound and Hope Sakumas' first mini duck hut can only mean that Jemima and her new brood will be moving in soon!

While the farmer field school continues clearing scrub land from an old unproductive palm tree plantation, Hassan and the Makelekos All-Stars peel off for a couple of days to start fencing in the compound to guard our hut and provide night-time security for Hope Sakumas' vistors, ducks and fish.

Amabest celebrates as the Makelekos All-Stars continue their fine fencing employing the little know Balestra Bind technique, a fancy bit of footwork seeing the fence constructed in double-quick time followed by binding together and tidying up of the constituent parts. Et voila - a very smart fence giving protection to guests and ducks alike!
