AZOLLA RATOONED RICE HARVESTS AGAIN

The Makelekos All-Stars harvest the last of the ratooned nerica rice before threshing by foot a total of two bushel, sixteen bushel all told from our Azolla-fertilized paddies.

Hope Sakuma's farmer field school starts soon and will see paddies and boli extend on our demonstration farm integrating ducks and tilapia, with Azolla fertilizer pits providing all the nutrients vegetables need to grow - a low-cost, high-nutrition, high-profit model for subsistence farmers in the most disadvantaged Chiefdom in Sierra Leone.
