We are proud to join the Not In My Name coalition, advocating for stronger laws and policies to protect and promote the rights of women and girls in Sierra Leone. The Coalition aims to communicate information on harmful practices and galvanize a community of activists, policymakers and other allies to confront these issues in our society.
The coalition already includes a dynamic group of grassroots Sierra Leonean organizations with wide-ranging objectives tackling violence against the girl child in Sierra Leone and the steps men can take to speak out to stop those traditional practices which are now proven harmful to children, such as female genital mutliation or cutting (FGM) and child marriage, helping meet the World's sustainable development goals (SDGs).
