After clambering into Uncle Mo's newly constructed fish pond for a splash about the kids load up a wheelbarrow full of tomato and pepper seedlings from Mama Mayila's Cradle plant nursery up to their kitchen vegetable beds for some hands-on transplanting.
Engaging the children in kitchen gardening helps teach where their food comes from; aids them in their school agricultural classes as well as equipping them with essential skills for a self-sufficent future.
