A really joyful song gets everyone in the mood for weeding work as the Ladies make a most welcome return to weed six acres of Hope Sakuma's newly planted upland rice.
Head-scarves tied the Ladies are ready for work and the rice, a nutritious mix of country seeds, is looking green and lush and ready for the weeding!
Farm manager, Ayie, leads the Ladies in a traditional weeding circle moving from the centre outwards thoroughly cleaning more than two acres. And as the session draws to a close, the Ladies burst into an equally joyous song and dance entreating the rice to grow well and bear much bounty.
