TOPPING UP THE TILAPIA

We see the Ladies are gone fishing for tilapia fingerlings to top up our recently constructed rice paddies but not before a quick repair job on their nets!

With the help of Pa Yusuf's needle and thread the Ladies make short work of repairing their nets and head off to the farm.

From our natural nursery in Hope Sakuma's permenant swamp, the Ladies find fish fingerlings in abundance such a rich source soon scooping some small fry.

And then the Ladies top up the tilapia and catfish in Hope Sakuma's paddies where they are protected from passing predators by Azolla, which also provides them with nutritious feed which they then pass to to fertilze our rice in return.
